Colon Hydrotherapy

Choosing a colon hydrotherapist is one of the most important decisions you can make. You want someone who is caring, knowledgeable, and accessible, as well as someone willing to take the time to go over all of your options and treat you compassionately. Tricia Gosling's belief that each person's health can be greatly improved by addressing the colon's role in whole body health motivates her to meet the unique needs of each client.

Tricia is an I-ACT certified Colon Hydrotherapist at the Advanced level who has been practicing with the LIBBE equipment since 1996. Please see the link below for for more details.

In June, 2018, Tricia installed a new LIBBE, an open system for hydrotherapy (pictured above). The LIBBE includes a carbon filter as well as a state-of-the-art UV light to purify for water taken in during the session. For more benefits and features of the LIBBE, please see the link below to Colonic.

The LIBBE is a state-of-the-art procedure which affords the client the ability to co-manage the colon hydrotherapy session. Safety and hygiene are insured through impeccable cleaning practices and single use, disposable tubes.

What Happens in Colon Hydrotherapy?

Colon hydrotherapy stimulates the natural mechanical action of a sluggish or "flaccid" colon to resume normal peristalsis. Colon hydrotherapy helps to tone up or exercise the colon so it can begin to take care of itself. When the large intestine is flaccid and holding mucoidal fecal material, it cannot contract effectively. The blood supply is inhibited. Little beneficial absorption or waste elimination can happen. When the sewage is cleaned out of this impacted muscular organ--the colon, its function can improve. Then the blood supply and its vital transference functions are enhanced. This, in turn, improves water and mineral absorption.

What is a Session Like?

Your first session will include time spent discussing your health history, all details of the cleansing process, as well as contraindications. Any questions you have are answered.

Colon hydrotherapy with the LIBBE consists of infusing filtered, warm water that goes through a carbon filter and UV light. The purified water comes to the client through a pencil-sized tube placed by the client via the rectum. The water encourages healthy contraction of the colon (peristalsis) and the hydration of debris, putrefied and impacted fecal matter, excessive mucus, gases, and in some cases, pathogen die-off. Waste is evacuated around the tube without odor or compromising the dignity of the client.

To promote the release of the accumulated toxic waste matter, a client may choose gentle abdominal encouragement, oils placed on tummy and feet, abdominal compress with castor oil, infrared massage tool, as well as the choice to be more alone thru the session. Young Living Essential Oils are offered and assist in the spa-like intention of relaxation for the session. For returning clients, far infrared saunas (offering 95% far infrared energy) are very helpful and offered on a complementary basis.

Colonics are painless. On rare occasions, some discomfort may occur due to gas blockages, or due to significant, chronic constipation. If this is the case, most of the time, discomfort is turned around within a session and the client always can decide when to take a break or turn off the water.

A Return to Balance

Many clients report immediate relief even before finishing the session. However, the goal is to retrain the colon to be more healthy. One can expect steady improvement, as this is a process which takes time, discipline, and devotion to a healthy lifestyle.

Clients should be aware of foods that cause difficulty with digestion. These include: dairy products, fried foods, candies, white flour, salt, salted snack foods, beef, processed foods, wine with meals, carbonated drinks, coffee.
